The Creator – Film Review

The Creator film

The Creator is an intriguing look at a future world dominated by a war between robots and humans.

A former soldier finds a secret weapon hidden in a robot. The child is run by artificial intelligence but has the body of a human. He discovers something familiar about its features.

Strangely, I was emphasising with the robot child.

This film didn’t go where I thought it was going. It jumps back and forth between different character’s points of view and time.

The cinematography was brilliant and the scenery spectacular. Definitely see this one in a cinema!

The Creator kept me guessing until the end.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Rated: (M)

Consumer Advice: Science fiction themes, violence, and coarse language

Final Runtime: 133 Minutes

Release date 28 September 2023.

About The Creator

From director/co-writer Gareth Edwards (“Rogue One,” “Godzilla”) comes an epic sci-fi action thriller set amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence. Joshua (John David Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Gemma Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war…and mankind itself. Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Madeleine Yuma Voyles). #TheCreator
