nevermoor jessica townsend book cover

Nevermoor is predicted to be a worldwide phenomenon, with the publishing rights sold at an 8-way auction and the film rights bought by 20th Century Fox.

Nevermoor is a fun and engaging debut novel by Sunshine Coast author Jessica Townsend about Morrigan Crow who is cursed. Whenever something bad happens in her hometown she is blamed for the misfortunes. Then she’s told she is doomed to die at midnight on Eventide.

Until Jupiter North promises her a new life in the magical world of Nevermoor. However, to stay in the safety in her new home she must join the prestigious Wundrous Society. There are four trials each contestant must pass with the last one being a talent show. If only Morrigan knew what her special knack (talent) was!

Nevermoor is packed with original characters and places. The book is well written with an entertaining storyline throughout. It reminds us of the importance of our own self-belief and that our real family is the ones whom we can be ourselves with. This is a fiction book which will appeal to children, young adults and adults just like Harry Potter does.

Highly recommended.

Published 10 October 2017.

Available as an eBook and audiobook.
