The family duo took on Little Gnome in 2015 and it’s like they were always part of the fabric of the busy Wynnum community and main street. They exude the passion for their craft of hospitality and literary learning. Customers are glowing in their love for this place and loud with their praise about the family business with its kind humans who care.
Bel and Jack recognised early on that there was a flourishing writing and reading community in Wynnum. They quickly expanded their bookshop and cafe offerings to monthly book club nights, regular workshops in self-publishing, social media classes and meet the author nights.
Their latest workshop offering is Prose and Plonk, which as the name suggests, is a chance to drink wine and craft creative fiction. Famous Australian Authors like Nene Davies, currently launching her fifth book Whitethorne, are regular visitors and literary launchers there.
