KitKat has released their popular Christmas Cabin Kits to create a festive chocolate house.
You won’t have to cook and cut gingerbread, instead, the house roof and walls are cleverly made with bars of KitKat.
The KitKat Cabin Kit provides the perfect excuse to take a break over a new festive ritual. Whether you’re building yours with work colleagues, housemates or the extended family.
Comedian and father of two Jimmy Rees said that while families are filled with different characters, a shared love of chocolate and quality time can bring everyone together during the holidays.
“The lead-up to Christmas is my favourite time of the year – but between end-of-year parties and shopping, it’s certainly tough getting the family unit together. We loved having a crack at the KitKat Cabin in our household, give it a go!”
Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, Melanie Chen said: “We’re all so busy in the lead-up to the festive holidays, there’s nothing better than spending quality time with family and friends. The KitKat Cabin is tapping into the ritual of making gingerbread houses during this time of year and making them more delicious with KitKat! We think this can become the new family favorite, holiday activity every year.”

Handy Hints
- Customise the chocolate cabin with your favourite lollies like freckles, smarties, snakes, Jaffa’s, and Maltesers.
- You can swap out any of the KitKat bars for your favourite flavour, like KitKat’s Dark Block with Tasmanian Mint or KitKat Milo.
- You might like to use two coffee mugs to stabilise your KitKat bar walls while you build your cabin.
- You can use a zip lock bag as a piping bag, by filling it with melted white chocolate and snipping a small hole in the bottom corner. Then twist the top and squeeze the chocolate out.
- Place the chocolate cabin on a chopping board decorated with desiccated coconut or green cardboard.
