The Flying Nun is a fun spot to have a bite to eat. It is located on the outskirts of Brisbane in Samford Village. It can be popular and busy so you might like to book ahead.

We shared an entre of calamari which we enjoyed. My husband had a solid beef burger with pickles and bacon and homemade chips.

The café restaurant is located inside an old Uniting Church with a rainforest garden like environment and beautiful stained-glass windows, mosaics and sculptures. It has an organic vegetable garden out the back which provides the kitchen with fresh produce and herbs.

There is a specials menu which is constantly changing with the seasons.

The venue is licensed so you can enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer with your meal. Another option is to visit for morning or afternoon tea where you can have a cake, slice or biscuits which are mostly baked in-house.
