After a trip to watch the football live, here’s our guide to everything you need to know about Suncorp Stadium.
Lang Park is the name locals fondly use, but it currently has the sponsored name of Suncorp Stadium. Sometimes sports commentators call it ‘The Cauldron’. The stadium is located at Castlemaine Street, Milton QLD 4064.
The stadium hosts games by Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane Roar, Socceroos, Australian Wallabies and Queensland Reds. It has a seating capacity of over 52,000 people.
You can easily catch public transport to the venue. You can get off at Milton (closest) or Roma Street train stations (and grab a drink at one of the licensed venues along Caxton Street beforehand). Don’t forget that your ticket price may include free public transport to and from the venue within the Queensland Rail Network and the Brisbane bus services.
Ticketek Australia Tickets
We were successful in buying tickets from the Ticketek Australia website. It’s not recommended you buy tickets off any other website, as some of these are scams. You can either print off a copy of your ticket (it’ll arrive in an email as a PDF attachment) or go for the mobile option. The email subject is ‘Ticketek Purchase Confirmation’.

What to Pack
You might like to dress warmly as it does get rather cold out on the field, especially if it is windy. It’s best to bring only essentials, as there isn’t much room underneath your seat to stash your bag. Some events have bag searching and there is nowhere to cloak your goods. Some people like to bring their own pillow to sit on.
There are plenty of stalls where you can buy official merchandise or souvenirs. It’s best to buy want what you want before going inside.
Social Media photos
You might like to take a photo near the Wally Lewis statue or outside of the stadium. Once you get inside it’s rather crowded, so it’ll be best to take selfies in your seat. You might like to test out your camera’s zoom beforehand if you’d like to take photos of the players on the field.
