Creed 3 continues the story of champion boxer Adonis Creed.
He is getting used to his retirement, running a successful boxing gym, and wondering what’s next. When Damian, his brother from another mother turned up.
Damian is fresh out of jail from a teenage crime. He doesn’t want any handouts and is keen to make up for the lost time. He is determined to rocket into a boxing championship with only unorthodox training.
When an accident leaves an empty boxing competition spot – it’s no guessing who wants to fill in.
Adonis’ wife faces declining hearing and a change in career while raising a feisty daughter with a similar disability. The signing is dealt with sympathetically.
Adonis’ mother has suffered a stroke, so they all want her to rest. He is upset she’s been withholding letters from him, and she cautions him about the friends he keeps.
Just before heading out to the cinema, I caught up with Creed 2 at home. It was a dramatic difference watching the new one on the big screen. The Creed 3 fights felt more authentic with the sound of each punch revibrating.
Did you know each fight scene took on average 4 weeks to film?
It’s worth noting that this is Michael B. Jordan’s debut as a director.
If you’re a boxing or sports fan, then definitely make the effort to see Creed 3 in cinemas.
