Cook and Feast by Audra Morrice is the second cookbook from the MasterChef Asia and MasterChef Singapore judge. She wanted to celebrate her heritage and connection with other cultures.
The cookbook in divided into chapters for meats, seafood, greens, grains, tofu and noodles, condiments and baked goods and desserts. The introduction includes some suggested dinner party menus and advice on preparation.
Be tempted by recipes like Masala-Spiced Roasted Pork Shoulder, Lamb Shank Rendang, Yam Cake, Buddha’s Delight Salad, Forbidden Black Rice and Herb Salad, Ricotta Parcels, Dark Chocolate Brownies with Pecans and Rum-soaked prunes.
We enjoyed the pork belly and smoked-bacon ragu, and later muesli cookies.
The majority of the recipes have a full-colour illustration. There is a small introduction about the dish, a list of ingredients and instructions.
Cook and Feast will lend a helping hand in your next dinner party.
