Stokebar Q’s ‘Prawn Sanga’ – delicious chilli prawns on white bread with aioli (how could you go wrong?)
Aether Brewing’s Pitstop Pale Ale is the perfect pairing for this Prawn Sanga. The mix of Galaxy, Azacca and Mosaic hops bring flavours of tropical fruit and citrus. Seafood + fruitiness = the quintessential Aussie flavour combo.
Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers’ mushroom and truffle gnocchi – a firm festival favourite among the Beer InCider audience.
I would pair Brouhaha Brewing’s Strawberry Rhubarb Sour with this delicious mushroom and truffle dish. Brouhaha’s kettle sour is made using Maleny Dairies’ natural yoghurt as the souring culture. It’s light and refreshing and the beer will cut through the richness of the dish.
Chu the Phat’s duck buns
Willie Smith’s Bone Dry apple cider would be an amazing match for
Tippler’s Tap’s dry spice-rubbed chicken wings with blue cheese dipping sauce – say no more!
We know this combo really does go with every beer because it’s the ultimate bar snack.
I love an IPA with chicken wings and I can’t think of a better West Coast IPA than Akasha Brewing Co’s Hopsmith. This beer is triple dry hopped meaning this beer packs a hop punch. Flavours of citrus and pine will pair perfectly with the best chicken wings in town!
For the sweet tooth – Gluten Free Donuts, Mr Whippy and Crunchy’s Waffles… if that isn’t a trip back to your childhood and into the Milk Bar we don’t know what is!
I love the idea of pairing a Gluten Free Donut with a glass of Prosecco. Yes, we might be a beer and cider festival (it’s in our name for goodness sake) but this year our festival also boasts a Prosecco Bar! If sparkling Italian wine isn’t your thing, perhaps try Sea Legs Brewing Co’s
