Walks in Nature promises easy escapes into unspoiled landscapes complete with foodie stops.
The walks are divided into location – NSW, ACT, Victoria, South Australia, WA, Queensland and Tasmania. Anna says the book includes “112 incredible walks that’ll have you escaping into nature, climbing mountains, exploring ancient rainforests, dropping into hidden valleys, swimming with sea turtles, crossing rivers and spotting native animals”.
All of the walks are within a two-hour drive from the capital. The walks near Brisbane are: South Bank Parklands, Norman Creek, Sandgate Foreshore, Bongaree Esplanade, Moreton Bay Foreshore, Woody Point to Scarborough, Yerralahla and West Canungra Cree, Karborra, Desert and Rous Battery Track, Morelia Track, Mt Tibogargan-Trachyte Circuit, Warrie Circuit, Federation Walk, North Gorge-Point Lookout Walk, Noosa Coastal Walk and Thylogale Walking Track.
For each walk, there is a handy easy to read map, and list of the distance, grade, ideal season, UBD map reference and handy notes. The walk will include a description of what to expect and suggest place to grab something to eat nearby.
Walks in Nature is a lovely book and a perfect guide for anyone who loves getting outdoors and exploring different landscapes.
