Zero Gradi, a gelateria brand owned by the Melbourne-based Gradi Group have released their two favourite Italian gelato recipes to help you celebrate World Gelato Day.
Milk-Based Gelato Recipe
Ingredients
- 650g Full Cream Milk
- 155g Cream
- 20g Skim Milk Powder
- 170g Sugar
- 3g Xantam Gum
- 25g Vanilla Paste
Method
- Mix Milk, Cream together.
- Add skim milk, xantham gum, and sugar
- Whisk until all sugar melted
- Add preferred flavour and whisk until folded in
- Pour into the Gelato machine until ready (each machine has a different setting)
- Place in the freezer until it’s ready to be eaten!
Fruit Sorbet Recipe
Ingredients
- 500g Strawberry
- 235g Sugar
- 3g Xantham Gum
- 260g Water
Method
- Add all ingredients into a container
- Blend until it’s all smooth
- Add to the Gelato machine until ready (each machine has a different setting)
- Place in the freezer until it’s ready to be eaten!
