Tommerup’s Dairy Farm is a great spot just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, where you can escape to the country life.
The farm is run by Kay and Dave Tommerup who are 5th generation farmers. It is one of the few working dairy farms where you can be a farm stay guest. As part of your visit, you can help milk the cows, freed the pigs, sheep, calves and chickens.
You can enjoy a short walk to Duck Creek for some rock hopping. There are lots of spots of picnics and nearby spots in the Scenic Rim to visit. You can stay in the Cottage or the Homestead.
Farm stays are available on weekends and school holidays only. As it’s a working farm you can’t just drop in, so look out for open days, special events and market days.
There is a Farm Larder stocked with local produce including farm fresh pork, veal, eggs and artisan dairy products. There is also local macadamia nuts, honey, garlic, coffee beans and more.
The farm is located in the picturesque Kerry Valley.
