The Spy Who Dumped Me is an unexpectedly hilarious film about two best friends who get caught up in an international assassin plot when Audrey (Mila Kunis) realises that her boyfriend who just dumped her was a spy.
The storyline is well-trodden and totes unbelievable. But you’ll be going along to watch just for the silliness. The pair end up in Europe where they need to decide if the suspicious-but-charming British agent is on their side, or not.
Morgan is played by Kate McKinnnon, who’s acting excels. Her strength in playing a kooky character pushing an average scene over to numerous laugh-out-loud moments.
(Aside – For some reason, I can’t get past Justin Theroux as anyone else’s boyfriend, then Jennifer Anniston’s. Yes, I know they have split up….. )
The Spy Who Dumped Me is lots of fun, so enjoy a refreshing take on the good spy vs bad spy chase.
3 stars.
