Stone & Wood’s Brisbane Brewing is a lovely spot to enjoy a casual meal and a tasting paddle of beers on the weekend or at night.
Did you know it is located inside the heritage listed Trails Ice Building? The industrial space shows off it’s interesting high beams and raw elements. The area can occupy events for 20 to 200 people. There is a back area suitable for functions.

You can enjoy the core range of Stone and Wood beers on-tap, limited-releases and seasonal brews and there is also an impressive range of wines. Look out for the Little Dragon ginger beer and The Gatherer with hints of watermelon, cucumber and mint. We tried a tasting paddle of beers, and the Jasper was our favourite from the range we tried.
The menu is small and presented by William Wallace Catering. We both enjoyed the crispy pork belly with creamy coleslaw, pickles and aioli, and the chargrilled lamb belly, with a spiced zucchini, mint, cranberry and quinoa salad. Be tempted by the brewer’s board selection of cheese and charcuterie, or the chimichurri chicken wings. I’m keen to try the grilled chicken breast with Mexican salsa and pearl cous cous next time. Vegetarians might enjoy the confit carrot salad.
The Brisbane brewery can house 8-hectolitres of beer, with resident brewer Mick Barnes in charge. He releases a new batch each Thursday. Grab a 1 litre growler to take some home.
