Whether you are having a BBQ with some mates, cooking up a storm for a family get-together, or are cooking professionally, food creates a pathway to talk more freely and openly. You can even ask some of the harder questions.
“If you are a foodie, or culinary influencer, run a restaurant or eatery, then we encourage you to bring the Soult flavours and their important message to your guests and followers. Mental health is a major issue for a much larger portion of our population than we think, and we all need to address it if we want to make a difference,” Adam says.
Most of us have been touched by mental health. The ABS released statistics in 2021, stated over 10 million Australian adults are estimated to know someone who has died by suicide, and 1 in 2 young people are impacted by suicide by the time they turn 25.
But Soult is not only a feel-good product. It is actually made of sustainable and ethically sourced salt from the Murray River Basin and all organic ingredients creating a range of flavours to elevate any dish.
Soult Salt Flavours

- Lemon Myrtle: Our fresh fragrant Lemon Myrtle is a perfect match with seafood or chicken, or sprinkled on smashed avo.

Where do the profits go?
‘Soult. Salt with Soul’ was born from a family tragedy. 100% of our profits go to Mental Health Foundations including Healthy Heads Trucks and Sheds, Standby Post Suicide Support, Mental Wheels and The Healthy Minds Club.
Apart from the amazing recipes and dishes that have already been created using the unique Soult flavours, they have also led to some open conversations around mental health and sharing from a diverse mix of people. Prominent TV personalities have opened up about their struggles with mental health, sports stars, leading chefs, and people from all walks of life.
Mental health does not discriminate nor segregate. We are all vulnerable to it and most importantly need to open up and talk about it.
“Let’s make an effort to talk openly about mental health and make it ‘ok’ to not be ok, and save some lives,” says Soult founder Adam Mumford.
“We have a big vision for Soult, and want to help make a difference in people’s lives.”
Here’s to great food, important conversations, and making a difference.
“Get people talking with Soult!”
