Living Room Bar is a luxe spot where you can taste some amazing cocktails. It’s the perfect place to unwind after work as you sip your drinks while relaxing in comfy lounge chairs.
The current cocktail menu is a collaboration with W Brisbane and Moet Hennessy and the mixologists from London’s famous Oriole Bar and sister bars Nightjar and Swift. These bars are frequently on the World’s 50 Best Bar Awards list.
The exclusive menu features 15 brand new cocktails with a theatrical twist. You’ll enjoy flavours from the Old World, New World and The Orient.
When asked about the inspiration behind the concept, Oriole’s Bar Manager Ali Ali said: “We decided to keep the concept of exploration because we believe that now more than ever people miss the feeling of travelling and discovering new tastes, colours and ingredients discovered in the farthest reaches of the globe.”
Be tempted by the Toowoomba Cocktail – inspired by the cake named after Lord Lamington, the Governor of Queensland. Bitter sweet with refreshing berry notes and a nutty chocolate finish, this Orient category drink includes Belvedere Pure Vodka, Regal Rogue Wild Rose Vermouth, Cocoa Falernum, Campari, berry blend cordial and wattleseed and coconut soda.
If you’re a fan of espresso martinis, you might like to try the Alajuela which is smooth and creamy, with rich coffee and crème brulee notes.
There’s a non-alcoholic menu with Marmara Collins, Lackawanna and Barbarikon. I enjoyed the Collins made with Lyre’s aperitif dry, berry blend cordial and fig leaf soda.
