Zonin Prosecco is popular in Italy and now available in Australia.
It’s a sparkling wine that is made from the Glera grape, from Veneto in Italy resulting in a dry and food friendly beverage. It’s fruity with apple and citrus aromas and flavours with a hint of almonds.
Tasting Notes:
Notes of pear and apple with a subtle mealy nuttiness across the nose. A full and luscious mouthful, which is dry and clean, with crisp green apple elements and a slight citrus note. This is a dry and fresh style prosecco, perfect as a late afternoon aperitif.
The vineyards are owned by the Zonin family and they oversee all aspects of production from vineyard to glass.
Prosecco is made in a similar way to champagne with two rounds of fermentation to produce the bubbles. Prosecco differs in that it carbonates in stainless steel vats, with the benefit of taking less time and less money.
Francesco Zonin, Vice-President of Zonin and an esteemed member of the Zonin dynasty, states:
“We’ve received great feedback from the Australian marketplace on our new bottle and are delighted to see Zonin Prosecco becoming one of Australia’s tipples of choice.”
The fresh and fruity flavours work pair well with a wide range of dishes and is ideal as an aperitif. Zonin Prosecco works well with meat dishes, seafood, salad and dessert if it’s not too sweet.
The bubbly is frequently used in cocktails and is perfect for making Bellini when mixed with peach puree.
The bottle design has won award and retains the lion that appears on the Zonin Family Crest with a nod to the brand’s storied heritage which dates back to 1821.
Zonin Prosecco is an affordable sparkling wine which is perfect to add to your drinks cabinet.
Zonin Prosecco is available in Australia from Dan Murphy’s and BWS with a RRP $13.99.
