What motivated you to start a brewery?
An insatiable thirst and a need to live and work in the Scenic Rim.
What’s your most popular product?
It’s not one product. Its the combination of destination, food, beer and local product.
What’s unique about your beer?
Drinking beer at Scenic Rim Brewery is a family friendly experience that proves that beer can be made and served in a destination that is not a factory or industrial environment
What did you learn about brewing while in Berlin?
What didn’t I learn in Berlin? How to stay with traditional brewing methods and pair food with beer like it has been done for centuries. Thursday night Frat night in the university beer hall also provided some lasting memories.
What’s your favourite beer right now? Why?
Cooler weather means DARK beer season so I alternate between Fatman, Giddy Gout and Phar Que. Its a bit like soup it warms you from the inside out
If you could only have one beer for the rest of your life, what is it?
Without a doubt it would be Phar Que.
What’s your favourite food to pair with beer?
Bratwurst, pretzels and Dutch potatoes salad.
