We recently caught up with Trish Nash, who kindly gave us an exclusive interview:

Tell us about your work

My work is my passion.  I am a certified Clinical Master Aromatherapist and I formulate essential oils blends for clients to assist with emotional and physical dis-ease. Seeing the powerful change in a person’s emotional state of mind after inhaling an essential oil always sends goosebumps down my spine. I love that I can help make a positive difference in another person’s life and help them grow into their true self.

As a published author, writing and creating is part of my daily work activities. I currently write a weekly blog on all things essential oils, from DIY cleaning, pamper recipes to emotional healing activities.

I also hold workshops on emotional healing and other women’s issues locally and internationally to help bring global awareness to relevant issues women face around the world. My vision is to create online programs on these topics to have a greater reach and create positive change on the world.

How did you get interested in aromatherapy?

I wanted a natural chemical free option to help my family instead of using synthetic medications. My son had asthma and I replaced his pharmaceutical medication with an essential oil blend to support his respiratory condition. That opened the door to the wonderful world of essential oils.  I started using them for headaches, upset tummies, cuts, bites etc.. then I began to explore the emotional healing properties and was blown away by the results.

How do you decide what essential oils to use on a person?

I look at a person in a holistic way when I create essential oil blends or recommend different essential oils. One of the first thing I explore with the person is what’s going on emotional as I believe that is the root cause to our physical dis-ease.

What’s your favourite essential oil and why?

Now that a hard question to answer. It changes with what my needs are at any given moment. If I had to pick it would be my signature blossom blend that I created as a companion for my book “Emotional Healing with Essential Oils, A journey of self-discovery”.  It has a blend of:

  • Bergamot- Self Acceptance,
  • Geranium – Love & Trust,
  • Ylang Ylang- True self /Inner Child and
  • Vetiver- Balance, Grounding and generational

which is a perfect combination for emotional healing.

What do you love most about what you do?

I receive feedback all the time from women about how my book, “Emotional Healing with Essential Oils: A journey of self-discovery” has positively impacted their lives.  It has given them permission to peel back the false mask they wear for themselves and society. This has left them feeling connected and encouraged to share their own story. To accept themselves just as they are in this present moment.

It really warms my heart to know by sharing my story it could have such a powerful effect on other women.

Do you have any plans for the next 12 months?

I am currently working on several projects locally which include workshops, online programs and my second book on recovering from sexual abuse with essential oils. Internationally I have been collaborating with organisations in America and the UK. I will be launching “Emotional Healing with Essential Oils : A journey of self-discovery” in the UK along with tear pads, mini book, recipe book and much more.
