The Huckleberry kit contains almost everything you need to make your first batch of lip balm at home.
The box contains handy instructions, a lip balm base, one vial of fragrance (depending on your selection), five empty lip balm containers and one pipette.
I would suggest preparing your area by laying down some paper in case of spills. Another tip is to take the lids off of the lip balm pots.
I melted the lip balm base in the microwave. This step was super easy and the mixture took less than 5 minutes to melt – so make sure you keep an eye on it. The base is made with natural ingredients including olive oil, candelilla wax, beeswax and carnauba wax.
You’ll need to add the fragrance at this point. You might like to try the other fragrances in the range: watermelon, passion flower, salted caramel cupcake, raspberry sundae and tropical smoothie. Next time I might try vanilla or peppermint essence to flavour my lip balms.
This is the tricky step – you need to quickly tip the lip balm mixture into the pots. If you are using a jug do this first and then use the included pipette to top up the plastic pots. Tap the sides to give an even finish, or use your finger or a plastic spoon to smooth over the top as best you can.
I decorated the lip balms with a cute sticker. If you giving the lip balms as presents then you might like to download or create a printable label.
