Howard Smith Wharves is a heritage-listed wharf with dazzling views of the Story Bridge and Brisbane city skyline.

The precinct includes on-site parking, five-star accommodation and cafes and restaurants. The award-winning Felons Brewery is located at the heart of the riverside space. Other places to eat include Ciao Papi, Stanley, Mr Percival’s and Goodtimes Gelateria.

The precinct has regular events including music and sports.

You can hire a dedicated event space to host a wedding, private celebration or corporate event. The event spaces include:

  • Rivershed – original building with exposed timber beams
  • Bougainvillea House – features a wraparound veranda with elevated views
  • Green House
  • Felons Barrell Hall – Inspired by German Beer Halls and lined with stacked oak barrels
  • Stanley Exclusive.

The whole site offers a full liquor licence. There are three open lawn spaces.

Did you know the wharves were originally constructed in the 1930s as a project by the Queensland Government to provide relief work during the Depression years?

Howard Smith Wharves is located at 5 Boundary Street Brisbane, under the iconic Story Bridge. The precinct lines 500m of the edge of the water under the beautiful cliffs of Bowen Terrace.
