The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard starts with bodyguard Michael Bryce ‘graduating’ from counselling and attempting to go on a nice relaxing Mediterranean holiday.
However, while relaxing assassin Darius’s wife Sonia (Salma Hayek) crashes the beach. She’s been sent by her partner Darius Kincaid (Samuel L Jackson) to rescue him.
Michael remains unlicensed and on his therapist’s advice refuses to touch a gun. He finds himself an unwilling part of the trio who then go on a road trip to stop Europe’s destruction.
A highlight of the film is seeing the beautiful scenery and Morgan Freeman. But it’s not the warmest welcome home visit.
If you liked ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ then you’ll probably enjoy the over-the-top adventure of this sequel.
Release date: 24 June 2021 (with exclusive screenings 10 – 16 June)
