Fast X continues the Fast and Furious franchise with their tenth film.
The Brazilian drug kingpin’s son, Dante (Jason Momoa) is out for revenge. He unleashes an oversized bomb on the streets.
Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family are split up. But when his 8-year son becomes the ultimate target, the stakes are heightened.
The action takes place in Rio De Janeiro, Los Angeles, Rome, London, Portugal to Antarctica.
The two main character’s emotions range from stone-cold nothing to full-blown eccentric. (I’m not loving the villain Dante – he’s too much of everything, except when he talks to dead people).
There are some new characters to add some interest – Tess (Brie Larson), a rogue representative from the Agency, and Aimes (Alan Richardson), the new head of the Agency.
“No one listens to the fans more than Vin does,” producer Jeffrey Kirschenbaum says. “He is in constant dialogue with them. They tell us that the true star of this franchise is the sense of rebellion, freedom and expression that started off as a small sub-culture movie in L.A. about street racing.”
Perhaps there’s more fighting than car chases this time around. Of course, it’s all unbelievable and ridiculously non-stop action.
And then it ended abruptly on a damn explosive cliffhanger!
Fast X will deliver to the die-hard fans. You can expect there will be a part 2 or part 3.
Australian release date of 18 May 2023.
