We headed to E’cco Terrace for the “Let’s do Lunch” menu as part of Good Food month 2019. You get two courses and a set glass of wine for $45. It ended up being an affordable way to enjoy 5-star restaurant food.
I ordered the crispy pork belly, parsnip, gala apple, black pudding crumble with crispy crackling! I was tempted by the freshly made potato gnocchi, gorgonzola, spinach and pine nuts. The wine was an agreeable glass of Church Road Chardonnay.

For dessert, I couldn’t resist trying the chocolate nemesis, walnut praline and white chocolate gelato. It’s has a bit of cult history and was invented by the River Cafe, so it’s a must-try. Think a cake that tastes somewhere between an intense chocolate mousse and a souffle.
I tried my dining companion’s strawberry and raspberry cheesecake, rose water sable and it was delicious too.
