Behind the Designs

Boasting exclusive artworks that pay homage to the quintessential breakfast staple, local artists Nathan Sheenan and Rachael Hastings have created a visual feast and moment of magic.

Surfing Koalas, Vegemite toast exploding from toasters, Shakas and Kookaburras set the scenes for this playful collaboration, sure to capture the hearts of everyday Australians and fanatics alike as they race to get their hands on a slice of history.

Nathan Sheahan, one of the collaborating Artists behind the capsule’s designs, discussed his inspiration behind the artworks, reflecting that “Vegemite on Toast has been a staple in my diet since growing up in the coastal suburbs of Newcastle. To celebrate 100 years of VEGEMITE, I wanted to convey the aspects of growing up in an Australian suburb, Summer. Which means heaps of bush, Aussie Fauna, and, of course, some Vegemite on toast to start the day before heading to the beach”.

From classic tees to bright shirts and statement dresses, this collection showcases Australia at its best. Each item is adorned with exclusive Mambo x Vegemite artwork.
