Over the years, the Brisbanista team have tried and tested different food from the Jan Powers Farmers Markets.
Here are some of my mini-reviews:
Bagel Boys
Bagel Boys are excellent. The freshly made bagels are always a popular choice. You might have to line up and take a number, but the service is pretty speedy. My favourite flavours are split between The Reuben (pastrami, Swiss cheese, pickles, cabbage and Russian dressing) and the Smoked Chicken (sundried tomato, avocado, rocket and pesto mayo).
Blackfatters
Blackfatters sell must-try bacon and delicious free-range heritage pork. Buy some to take home.
G-Free Donuts
You can’t miss the green packaging. I always order a plain gluten-free doughnut – freshly baked on the spot. But you can add some caramel or Nutella filling for an extra coin.
German Sausages
Goetzinger Small goods make a great sausage. They serve Swiss and German-style sausages in a hot dog style bun. Optional extras include onion, sauerkraut and sauces. Very filling.
Good Mix
The Good Mix is a mix of superfoods to have instead of your regular muesli. Think Chia seeds, almonds, pepitas, coconut, buckwheat, flaxseed, sesame seeds, goji berries, raw cacao nibs, puffed amaranth and puffed millet.
Iced Tea
I’ve tried both the mojito and raspberry iced tea. These are refreshing especially on a hot Summer’s day.
I Heart Brownies
I tried the Jaffa flavoured brownie from I Heart Brownies. This cute dessert was a rich chocolatey and orange flavoured cake….. in the shape of a heart.
Krazy Lemon
The classic Krazy Lemon lemonade is refreshing. The sugar-free version was not for me.
Popcorn Man
The Popcorn Man serves a number of different flavoured popcorn in a single large cup to a mega bag option. The popcorn is freshly popped and very Moorish. One big bag is better shared with a group of people. It’s the perfect solution for a party or movie night snacks.
Peanut Van
Deliciously flavoured peanuts from the Peanut Van make another great snack. The peanuts are from Kingaroy, so you’ll know that these are the real deal. These have no nasty pesticides (often found in peanuts from overseas). They sell peanut butter too.

Love these mini reviews, so much easier to read than full on reviews. Thanks for the mention too by the way 🙂
