I am My Brand has the tagline of ‘how to build your brand without apology’. It’s packed with practical exercises, real-life antidotes and examples. The text is broken up with feature boxes, simple drawings and space to journal your thoughts.
Kubi has developed 8 Pillars of personal branding: Decision on the direction, vision, clarity on your brand message, strategy, tactics, metrics (to measure success), ownership and be unapologetic.
Although the book is aimed at females and uses them in many of the examples, the ideas and theory are relevant to both genders.
I am My Brand sometimes reads a bit like a textbook, but is a welcome addition to the bookshelf for referencing as a practical guide for female entrepreneurs, freelancers and executives.
