The Holey Moley mini golf course is located on Level 1 of the Wintergarden Shopping Centre, right next to Strike bowling. The golf course consists of 9 holes. After you have paid, select the right sized putter and ball from near the entrance.
This is our full walkthrough of the Holey Moley Brisbane city golf course. Here are our exclusive tips and tricks to get you winning.
Hole 1 – True Blue Green
A lego inspired green with cute trees and bricks. This was designed as a tribute to the Aussie legend, Steve Irwin. Par 3
Hole 2 – A Hop, Skip and A Gump
This hole has a district Forrest Gump theme. Look out for the shrimp and a box of chocolates. Par 2.
Hole 3 – Gone Fishin’
Watch out for Jaws, a huge open-mouthed shark, ready to eat up your golf ball. This ocean-themed putt has a double-level hole. Par 3.
Hole 4 – Vincent Van Golf
This green is a replica of Vincent van Gogh’s famous painting of his bedroom in Arles, the Yellow House. This isn’t a tranquil spot, as the floor and walls have resulted in skewed lines and angles. Par 2.
Hole 5 – 9 and 3/4
Kids and fans of the books (and films) will love this Harry Potter themed putt. Can you use magic to help you score a hole in one? Par 3.
Hole 6 – Ferris Wheeler’s Day Off
The movement from the large wooden Ferris wheel might be a little bit distracting. So don’t forget to focus on the ball. Inspired by the classic 1980s film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Par 3
Hole 7 – Makin’ it Rain
If you’ve ever wanted to be showered with cash (and pretend you are a millionaire) – here’s your chance. Once inside, you’ll need to hit the big red button. I might have squealed inside the clear box – as it’s a bit windy and pretty silly fun. This is probably the hardest shot to take. Par 3
Hole 8 – Drop It Like It’s Slot
Test your luck with the oversized slot machine. Here you’ll need to add your golf ball and pray that you spin a beneficial result. You might have to add or subtract points to your current score.
Hole 9 – Kong Live the King
King Kong looks scary on the last hole. Fortunately, the giant black gorilla hanging off the Empire State Building doesn’t move. You’ll need to aim your ball to the left cloud. Par 3.
The course will take 20 to 40 minutes (depending on how many people in your group).
Finish off with something from the tempting menu. Highlights include:
- Holey Cheezus – a beef patty, cheddar, pickles, bacon, lettuce, oozy gooey cheese sauce, ketchup, aioli and tomato
- The Dirty Birdie – southern fried chicken, lettuce, bacon, slaw, guacamole and chilli mayo)
Standout cocktails from the dedicated bar include Austin Sours, Gopher Gold, The Sugar Caddy, Espresso Partini and the fantastic Duck Duck Joose, which is served in a little bathtub with cute yellow rubber ducks floating in it.
There is also a range of delicious vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Don’t forget to take lots of photos.
