Chocolate Toast Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 thick slice of sourdough or any bread of your choice
- 200g 70% dark chocolate
- Extra virgin olive oil for coating
- Flakey sea salt
Method
- Place a small pot filled a quarter of the way with water and place a metallic bowl on top set on low/medium heat. Make sure not to let water touch the bowl as this will overheat the chocolate.
- Allow the chocolate to melt about 5-8 min while stirring with a spatula. Once it is completely melted set aside.
- Lightly coat the bread with olive oil and get it crispy using a hot grill or toaster.
- Spread the chocolate on the bread to your liking, then sprinkle some sea salt and finish with extra virgin olive oil. Cut and enjoy.
Sergio’s tip: Any chocolate leftover can be saved and reheated later. You may like to top with slices of fresh strawberries.
