Upside Down by Danielle Steel – Oscar-winning actress Ardith Law is one of Hollywood’s icons. Still a sensational beauty at sixty-two, her career prospects are as bright as ever.

Widowed when young by an unfaithful husband, Ardith has no intention of marrying again. Although a loving Mother to her daughter, Morgan, she has always been blamed for Morgan’s lonely childhood while she was away on location. Morgan’s success as a cosmetic surgeon has made no difference to their relationship, which remains at odds, despite Ardith’s efforts to strengthen their ties.

While Ardith’s long-time partner, William West, is absent, filming in London, she employs Josh Gray, an actor waiting for his big break. He is to act as her assistant in her Bel Air home. When tragedy strikes, however, he becomes an invaluable support. Ardith soon realises that she is developing feelings for him which she’s unable to deny.

Meanwhile, in New York, Morgan finds herself bewitched by one of the country’s most famous TV news reporters, Ben Ryan. Although twenty years her senior, she falls head-over-heels in love! When a blackmail scheme puts his career, and, therefore, their relationship on the line, she doesn’t know what to think or where to turn.

Morgan must decide whether she can bury the hurt of the past and forgive her Mother.

Ardith, on the other hand, needs to discover a means to follow her heart.

Mother and Daughter are both beginning to understand that finding true happiness with the right partner has nothing to do with age . . .

Another heart-searching/heart-warming novel from this immensely popular author, who is also skilled at transporting the reader to various events and locations that are brought to life by her narrative. A must-read for all her fans and anyone who enjoys an emotional roller-coaster ride via romance and adventure.
