True Grit is an annual a military-inspired obstacle challenge held around Australia.
This year, events will be held in Dargle Farm, New South Wales, Caudo Vineyard, South Australia and Korralbyn, Queensland.
True Grit is the only Aussie-owned and operated military-inspired obstacle course created by former defence special forces. With challenging obstacles such as Jungle Vines, Monkey Spinners, and Swimmer Scout – as well as more traditional military-themed challenges such as Ammo Resupply and Casualty Drags – there’s an obstacle guaranteed to get each participant out of their comfort zone both physically and mentally.
True Grit Course Options
- The most popular option is the 10km course with 30 obstacles and is open to ages 16 plus.
- The 5km course, with 15 obstacles, is held on Saturday only and is open to ages 12 and over.
If that extra challenge is what you’re looking for, the elite wave sets off at 8.30 am on Saturday only. It’s timed and competitive with prizes for the first, second, and third male and female to cross the line.
Tom Gilmartin, Race Director, said “Participants can expect to challenge themselves not just physically over what is a hilly course, but also mentally with a range of obstacles designed to push them outside of their comfort zones. The rewards felt when crossing the Finish Line make it all worthwhile and it’s that feeling of accomplishment and personal achievement that keep participants coming back year on year to test themselves and discover what true grit is all about.”
Spectators are welcome. Volunteer roles are available.
