The Boy Who Hatched Monsters by T.C. Shelley is the third, and final, book in her fantasy series about Sam (who is half monster and half fairy) and his gargoyle friends.
Sam now lives with his human family, who are unaware that he is any different from them.
In fact he has now discovered that he alone has the ability to raise monsters, when he hatches a tiny
gargoyle, which he hides in his sock drawer!
Queen Maggie, his nemesis, finds out, however, and, to increase her power, wants Sam to raise a new
legion of heinous ogres for her.
Naturally, Sam refuses, so Maggie threatens to destroy all that Sam holds dear.
The stage is therefore set for a final battle! Sam’s future and the whole of monster-kind will be decided
for good or for evil…………………..
This is another wonderfully endearing and thrilling read.
Favourite and well-loved characters are all present. There are, however, many new, extraordinary, and,
of course, magical, creatures. All combine to form a force to be reckoned with against past protagonists.
A must-read for all ages, who have a love of the fantastic, magical and mysterious!
Very sadly, this is the conclusion to the series. Hopefully, there is another new, and equally enthralling
series in the offing from this superbly talented author.
