About The Botanist Gin
“When distilling The Botanist, we are creating something more than a drink. The Botanist is a representation of the place we are from. It is a way of communicating our place in the world and our love for it. Distilling is a way of life, and for me, it is a way to communicate to the world. We use the art of distillation and a connection to the land, our home, to create a wonderful spirit that speaks of the place it is from.” said Adam Hannett, Head Distiller.
The Botanist is made at Bruichladdich Distillery on the banks of Loch Indaal on the Isle of Islay. Built in 1881, the distillery has been an integral part of the community since it was built. Home to three single malt whiskys along with The Botanist, it is located on the Rhinns of Islay on the West of the island. We like to think of it as a Victorian Distillery re-imagined for the future.
