When visiting the Brisbane Airport, it’s great to plan ahead and know some of these handy tips for travelling.

Brisbane Airport Chatbot

You can talk to the airport’s chatbot via their Facebook page or Tweet @brisbaneairport. You can ask anything you want from food options to setting reminders.

Flight Notifications

You can sign up for flight notifications at bne.com.au/flights

Packing for your flight

Watch essential tips for any destination with Nikki Parkinson from Styling You. If you have forgotten something, you can purchase books, snacks, lip balm, mints, and more at the airport.

Hidden disabilities

If you or someone you are travelling with has a hidden disability, you can request helpful support. The airport assists people with a disability such as autism, dementia, or anxiety. Apply one week before travelling to receive your pack including passenger information, sunflower lanyard, and an accessibility journey planner.

Arrival Times

Arrive early:

  • at the domestic terminal for at least 90 minutes prior to departure
  • at the international terminal for 3 hours prior to departure

Think about booking your transport or parking in advance.

Did you know around 75 per cent of all Queensland’s international arrivals fly into Brisbane Airport, with many travelling on to places such as the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, the Whitsundays, and Cairns?

Parking at Brisbane Airport

When travelling, we like to leave our car at the airport and save money by booking online.

  • Book airport parking: https://parking.bne.com.au/
  • Select your terminal: domestic or international
  • Then you can choose how much you’d like to pay depending on where you park

We recommend ParkLong parking so you can walk to the terminal in 5 minutes and where the majority of spaces are undercover. You might like to consider valet-style parking or guaranteed undercover depending on your budget.

Otherwise, you can arrange to be dropped off and picked up at the pick up waiting areas.

Things to do in transit at Brisbane Airport

Eating at Brisbane Airport

You’ll find all-day breakfast and brunch, tapas, share plates, and ample food options at the airport. You can grab a hot drink at Bellisimo Coffee or a pastry at Jocelyn’s Provisions.

Airport Hotels

While you are waiting for your plane, you can spend some time exploring the nearby Airport Hotels. Just a quick 400 meters walk from the domestic terminal.

Visit the Skygate Precinct

You can grab something to eat or play a round of mini-golf. You can shop at over 147 brands at DFO Brisbane. Just catch a free bus from the domestic or international terminals. You’ll be there in less than 15 minutes.

“We remind the travelling public to please plan ahead and allow plenty of extra time to get to, and through, the airport, and to be courteous and respectful to each other, and to airport staff who will be doing their very best to get passengers up and away on time.”

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) spokesperson Rachel Bronish
