Bookshops and Bonedust by Travis Baldree – Viv’s career with the renowned mercenary company
“Rackam’s Ravens” isn’t going as planned. When wounded during the hunt for an all-powerful
necromancer, she’s sent away against her will to rest and recuperate in the quiet beach town of Murk. Viv
fears that she’s so far away from the action that she’ll never be able to return to it. What’s a
frustrated soldier of fortune to do?
Finding herself spending her days at a bookshop lacking customers in the company of its foul-mouthed,
frustrated proprietor is the last thing Viv wants to be doing! Although it is exactly what she needs.
Adventure, however, isn’t far away! A peculiar traveller in grey, a gnome with an aggressive personality
disorder, a budding romance and an unbelievable number of skeletons prove Murk to be more eventful
than Viv could have ever imagined!
Sometimes we can’t control what happens to us so the right things happen at the wrong time. Often
what we need isn’t what we seek. And occasionally we find ourselves in a narrative that we experience
together . . .
This wonderfully readable novel lives up to its promise and, whether or not you’re ‘into’ fantasy novels,
you’ll love this one!
Curl up on a comfy sofa and enjoy the experience. It even features the most delicious cakes – yum!
