The Summer Place by Janette Paul tells the stories of three women, who return to the well-loved, summer place of their youth for a beach wedding. Each of them is struggling to come to grips with the cards life has dealt them.

Erin, who is slowly recovering from a cycling accident that almost killed her, is the reluctant maid of honour. She is still battling to come to terms with her devastating injuries and is unsure that she will find the courage to walk down the aisle with all eyes upon her.

In her youth, Jenna fell helplessly in love with the groom at this same cherished holiday location. Will she finally be able to let him go after watching him marry someone else?

Cassie, who lives in Barcelona, has recently been widowed. She needs to be able to put her grief behind her and move on. The chance to return to Australia for the wedding will allow her to step away from her former life. The cost, however, may turn out to be more than she had thought.

As each of the women faces their particular nemesis, they will find that joyful memories from the past will help them to heal, discover new loves, and revive old ones to belong once more…….

This heartwarming novel is filled with many interesting and lovable characters playing their parts in the most glorious of settings.

Pain and loss are offset by love, beauty, and the joy of close family and friends.

Hope Head is a place that heals, comforts, embraces, and welcomes those who are broken, back into the community. It certainly lives up to its name in more ways than one!

A joyful must-read for this year.
