Masters of Death by Olivie Blake – is, on the surface, a book about an estate agent. The difference is that she’s a vampire, the house on sale is haunted, and its ghost was murdered! This ghost needs to solve the mystery regarding his death and, until he does so, he is staying put no matter what!!
Viola Marek, therefore, has no choice but to hire a medium, Fox D’Mora, to deal with the ghost, expecting him to be competent… Unfortunately, truth be told, Fox is a blatant fraud, although not entirely useless, however, as he’s the godson of Death!
As the ghostly enigma unfolds, Viola and Fox become involved in a quest that neither ever dreamed of or wanted.
Soon they discover that they need help, which comes in the forms of a demonic personal trainer, a sharp-voiced angel and a love-stricken reaper.
Apparently, as things become more clear, it appears that the difference between a mystical lost love and that of a deceased body isn’t as clear-cut as it seems!
Masters of Death is another masterpiece by an author with an outstanding imagination, and, it must be said, a twisted sense of humour!
Olivie Blake breathes life into her immortal beings and then lets them loose to entertain the reader. Sit back and let the magic and suspense begin!
An unmissable must-read for all lovers of the mystical, magical and murderous!
