The Wired Owl Coffee Co is a popular spot where you can sit inside or outside under the shade. The Sandgate cafe has a shabby chic feel about with art work on the walls by local artists.
They started out as a small coffee cart until they moved to the current location which used to be an old grocery store. They have doubled their space in two years.
The Wired Owl Coffee Co stock single origin coffee from Semi-Pro Coffee, who helped them set up their cold press coffee. They also serve Wolff Roasters coffee.
There a great range of sweet and savoury muffins, brownies (choc fudge caramel if you are lucky), banana bread and raw slices. These include some gluten-free options. There is organic bircher muesli with yoghurt, speciality tea and other cold drinks on offer.
It’s a good spot to grab your takeaway coffee and morning tea and walk nearby to see the great view over the hill the water-front or Moora Park. You can even text your order through ahead of time to skip the queue.
