Smallfoot is a charming musical animation with a strong message for us all to be good humans.
As a human race, we have been groomed to think we are the strongest species, and that a “big, scary” thing such as bigfoot would somehow threaten our being. But on the other hand.. finding one would make us famous, right? But what if a yeti found us first.. How prepared are we for that?
The roles are reversed in Smallfoot, where lead character Migo (Channing Tatum) lives in a simple yeti community where the Stonekeeper (Common) deems the human race non-existent. Their world is turned upside down when Migo finds a “small, scary” human, Percy, and brings him back to the snowy village.. not so much to Stonekeeper’s delight.
Percy (James Corden) is a dwindling reporter, desperate to get back on top of his ratings.. so perhaps getting kidnapped by yetis might do just that. All Migo and Percy need to do is convince each other’s species that each exists. With the help of Migo’s friends, the SES – Smallfoot Evidentiary Society, the two species tries to get to know each other and the yetis soon wonder what else could be beyond their safe mountain.
Side note: who would have thought yetis are actually quite stylish.. They have amazing hair and their fur makes me want a faux yeti coat!
Smallfoot is currently showing in Australian cinemas from 20 September 2018.
