In time for Christmas comes Sit.Stay.Love, the new film from Brisbane’s Steve Jaggi’s Film Company. The romantic comedy filmed at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, was cloaked in fake snow to bring to life a Vermont-based winter wonderland.
With a talented and seasoned Australian cast speaking American accents, it fits the typical formula one expects from the likes of Hallmark Channel. Steve Jaggi film’s are renowned for their high production values suited to meeting the tastes of US audiences.
Georgia Flood and Ezekiel Simat play the leads, Annie and Dylan. After years spent volunteering in the heights of Nepal, Annie returns home for Christmas. She finds it difficult being back home again, surrounded by the memory of her late mother. Dylan, now the local vet, and his motley collection of rescue animals prove an unlikely distraction after the town’s shelter is forced to close down. Annie steps into action to drive the campaign to find new owners for the homeless animals before Christmas.
It’s a light, fun and visually appealing film that will suit the whole family, especially animal lovers. It’s great to also see some old faces not seen on Australian screens for some time.
Sit. Stay. Love is screening now at Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas. Check your local guides for screening times.
