We were a bit excited to discover that alcoholic root beer had appeared in Brisbane.
Future Memoirs of a Root Beer
East 9th Brewing from Victoria were first to market in Australia with the release of its Future Memoirs Of A Root Beer. The signature flavours are detectable with a good balance of sassafras, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger. It’s a refreshing drink but we both thought it was a tad on the sweet side. It reminded me of my year spent overseas and the root beer floats* my mum used to make during my childhood.
What is Root Beer?
Root beer is a popular (unalcoholic) soft drink from America. It has a distinct flavour of sassafras. *A root beer float is a soft drink with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
