The gang are all there with their authentic names. The scenes swap between action, comedy and heartfelt.
I can’t say I remember much of the Masters of the Universe except my younger brother watched the animated series. (We are unsure if he still owns a Temple of Doom and any Mattel figurines! If you do any originals, go have a look at the prices on eBay!).
It’s a little like eating indulgent dark chocolate cake with lots of icing… You just want to savour every bite and crumb. The film doesn’t take itself too seriously. Yes, the moral is super simple but also heartfelt.
Is this film going to be as popular as Barbie?
Masters of the Universe was a flipping fun jaunt down memory lane. Highly recommended for fans.
