Hustlers is based on an article published in the New York Magazine about a true story titled “The Hustlers at Scores” written by Jessica Pressler. It follows a group of former strip club employees who want a piece of pie from their Wall Street clients.
Before the global financial crash, a couple of strip club employees became good friends and work out how to exploit their clients. They both enjoy a decadent lifestyle with lots of bling, designer clothes and big cars. However, when the economy takes a tumble, the club lays off its employees, and they have to find another way to hustle for their paycheck.
As expected, it all starts to fall apart when they try to expand with less than stellar partners. The soundtrack is fun and will keep you bopping. For some reason, the ending is a little bit of let down and it runs out of steam.
The Hustlers film is the perfect material for a date-night out.
