The two rappers with stage names, Snoop Dogg and E-40 have collaborated to create the Goon with a Spoon cookbook.
The book follows up on the breakout success of Snoop’s first cookbook, From Crook to Cook. The cookbook contains 65 plus recipes from main courses to desserts.
You’ll notice inspiration and references to both of the rappers’ music lyrics and songs. Some of these have come from Snoop’s VH1 show with Martha, and E-40’s Filipino food business, Lumpia.
The book has a short forward and is divided into the following sections: breakfast, munchies, drinks, mains, sides and sweets.
Goon with a Spoon is a cheeky cookbook that starts with mimosa three ways. You might like to try the fried chicken and French toast sandwiches for a decadent brunch.
Be tempted by Sticky Asian Chicken Wings, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Mac ‘n’ Cheese Bites, Air-Fry Pizzas, and Monto Cristo Sandwich.
Cool down with Pool Party Punch, Cali Sangria, Corner Store Slushies, or a twist on Long Island with a Beach City Iced Tea.
For dessert, consider Snoop’s Fruity Loop Bars, (chocolate mint) Green Brownies, Grilled Peaches and Cream or Leche Flan.
There are suggested menus for celeb-worthy events ranging from Super Bowl Sunday to Father’s Day Feast, a 4/20 Potluck, and a Summertime Block Party.
These recipes are not approved by any nutritionist, and that’s okay. Some of the recipes contain American ingredients like Fritos, Fruit Loops, Funyuns, and Kool-Aid drink mix powder.
‘E-40 is my big homie, my brother, my mentor. He paved the way for me on the West Coast,’ Snoop Dogg writes. ‘Watching him expand his love for food and cooking over the years to his many successful businesses is some boss-level shit. Which is why Snoop Dogg Presents Goon with the Spoon had to be the next cookbook, ya dig?’
Goon with a Spoon is the perfect gift for music fans and anyone who bought the first cookbook.
