Fat Noodle is Luke Nguyen first restaurant in Brisbane and is located in the front corner of the Treasury Brisbane building. It is based on the Sydney restaurant of the same name.
‘Fun, funky and dynamic Asian street food with hawker style concept’ – says Luke.

The first time we visited I enjoyed his signature dish of 20-hour Fat Pho noodles. A light but flavour-packed broth and fresh ingredients. It was so good, I reordered on my second visit.

For entre, we devoured delicious Peking Duck with paper-thin steamed pancakes and chicken dumplings. If you want to impress there is a whole Peking Duck for a cool one hundred.
Luke’s Vietnamese chicken salad is rumoured to be a satisfying combination and one of the most popular dishes.

My dining partner was keen to try the fried barramundi – which looks amazing on the plate. Last time he enjoyed the Singapore Laksa and couldn’t fault either dish.

For dessert, we managed to share a chai panna cotta filled with milk chocolate mousse and a tangy orange sauce.
Tip: There is an express menu for city workers wanting a quick lunch or anyone in a hurry. The yum cha menu is available only in the afternoon on a weekday.
Fat Noodle using Australian East Coast prawns, Angus reared beer, sustainably caught fish and no MSG. There are some dish options for vegetarians and low gluten.
The service was fast and efficient.
