Announcing the One Night Only Series @ Bacchus
Partnering with Rural Aid for Drought and Fire Relief
Bacchus Restaurant has just announced a food lovers nirvana – The One Night Only Series, a program of four special culinary events featuring superstar chefs cooking with Bacchus Head Chef Massimo Speroni to shine the light on Australian produce, while raising funds for Rural Aid and those affected by drought and fires.
The chef line-up includes Queensland food champions Alastair McLeod, Matt Golinski and David Pugh, acclaimed Japanese flavour specialist Adam Lane and Western Australian flavour-maker and leader of the current WA Restaurant of the Year, Nic Wood. Each dining event will feature a degustation menu, a Q&A session with the chefs as well as arrival canapes and drinks. $100 from every ticket sold from all four dining events will go direct to Rural Aid to assist those affected by the devastating Australian drought and bushfires.
The brainchild of Bacchus Head Chef Massimo Speroni, The One Night Only Series is intended to celebrate flavours from all over Australia, under the culinary direction of the chefs that have a passion in those areas. “Having chefs the calibre Alastair McLeod, Matt Golinski, David Pugh, Adam Lane and Nic Wood is so exciting for everyone at Bacchus, and I am personally thrilled to be working alongside these people acclaimed creators,” said Speroni

Chef Speroni joined Bacchus direct from the 2-Michelin starred Ristorante San Domenico over two years ago, bringing with him an extraordinary cache of experience, having worked under owner-chef Valentino Marcattilii. Through Speroni’s flavour-lens, the menu features fresh, classically created dishes. Entering Bacchus is a special moment – the rich chestnut interior throws hues of deep mahogany, tobacco and marble, creating a welcome that is heightened by Restaurant Manager Kevin Puglisevich, who is seamless in his command of the space. The wine list of more than 600 offerings celebrates the great grape growing regions of the world and is curated by Sommelier Andrew Giblin. Bacchus is at home in Rydges South Bank, the premier lifestyle and cultural hotel in Brisbane and one truly embedded in the cultural, dining, sporting and corporate life of the city.
