Coyote vs ACME is a clever comedy featuring your favourite animated characters.
As a kid, I didn’t watch much Looney Tunes, but my brother did! There are plenty of scenes that are iconic and memorable.
You’ll sympathise with Wile E. Coyote and his never-ending quest to beat Road Runner. There are guest appearances from other well-known characters.
After listening to a compensation lawyer on television, Coyote decides to sue ACME for failed and dangerous products.
The schemes continue to get more complex and absurd. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, but a brief lull is the only downside. The graphics and sound effects are awesome.
I was pleasantly surprised to say the live animation does work here. You’ll see stars John Cena, Will Forte and Lana Condor.
After all this time, we are still rooting for the underdog, a Coyote, in this instance.
Australian release date: 17 September 2026.
About Coyote vs ACME
Directed by Dave Green and starring John Cena, Will Forte and Lana Condor, COYOTE VS ACME is a smart, high-concept blend of live-action and animation, bringing one of cartoon history’s most iconic underdogs to the big screen.
After years of ACME’s notoriously faulty gadgets exploding in his face, Wile E. Coyote finally fights back, taking ACME to court with the help of down-on-his-luck lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte).
But things quickly become personal when Kevin comes up against his formidable former boss, powerhouse attorney Buddy Crane (John Cena), who is representing ACME.
What follows is a fast-paced collision of rivalry, unlikely alliances and inventive, gag-driven mayhem – showcasing Looney Tunes at its best.
