Neil Perry’s Burger Project has arrived in Brisbane with two locations. The company has an apt slogan of ‘fast food slow food values’.
I enjoyed my American cheese burger filled with grass fed beef, cheese, onion, pickles and secret sauce and rose mayonnaise. The flavours worked together brilliantly.
My dining partner devoured his double beef pattie burger with similar ingredients, swapped for regular cheese and only secret sauce. The chunky chips were a good companion.
There is a good range of different burgers including fried chicken katsu, chilli cheese and a vegetarian magic mushroom. It’s good to know you can order a burger in a bowl (no bun but extra lettuce) for the low carb crowd. The beef comes from Cape Grim in North Western Tasmania and the chicken is Lilydale free range.
I couldn’t resist trying the Valrhona chocolate soft serve ice-cream in a waffle cone. Tots delicious. You could have your creamy soft serve as vanilla with different toppings. They are churned in-house daily and made using fresh milk, cream and only natural ingredients.
The beer and wine options are on the expensive side, but you could have a real shake made on the self-serve ice cream or a house soda.
A portion of the profits from the restaurant goes back to a local charity. The majority of the packaging in made from natural or recycled materials with all of it being compostable.
There is a dedicated Burger Project app for regular customers and a customer loyalty program.
About the Burger Project
Burger Project was inspired by the core philosophies and uncompromising ethic that have driven the Rockpool Dining Group for the past three decades. We proudly support local charities and believe giving back to our communities is paramount.
