Bride Hard revolves around Sam (Rebel Wilson) as the ousted maid of honour who is trying her best to make amends with the bride.
The film has all the right ingredients – but when mixed together, it falls flat. What could possibly go wrong?
There’s a diverse girl gang full of comedians. Add in a cute and hot potential love interest. But there’s no sizzle between the two leads?
Sam tries too hard to please. The bride’s (Anna Camp) ditsy blonde act starts to wear thin. At some point, Sam could have given up and found better less-bitchy friends.
The storyline has plenty of twists and turns. The locations are dripping in rich people’s wealth. And their safe (that only opens with rings) becomes the target of criminals.
The fighting scenes are ridiculous. The baddies are buffoons. Some of these scenes needed a reshoot or different editing. Despite these flaws, some of the deaths are novel.
It’s classic slop material. You’ll want to be double-screening this one at home. There are a few funny moments, but you can safely scroll social media while you watch this one.
Bride Hard didn’t try hard enough.
