If you’re looking for a bbq feast on the Southside, then Bare Knuckles BBQ is your place. The food cooked in the traditional low n’slow wood-fired barbeque style.
The brisket and pork has been slow-cooked in a wood-fired Radar Hill Smoker (affectionally known as Bertha). The rolls and burger buns are brioche.
Think beef brisket and pulled pork in rolls and boxes. If you’re feeling hungry then go for the BBQ box which contains brisket, pulled pork, hotlink, chicken wings, slaw, pickle and a dinner roll.
I enjoyed my MacBrisket Roll which is mac and cheese, brisket and Bare Knuckles house sauce. I’m keen to try the Brisket smash burger which is a grilled 100% brisket patty, onions, cheese, pickles, and mustard sauce.
You’ll also find pork ribs and chicken wings. For sides you can have a classic mac’n’cheese or seasoned fries.
You can eat outside on the wooden picnic benches or takeaway. The food is priced well and the service is quick.
The shop stocks Lane’s BBQ rub/seasoning, sauces and smoking chips.
BYO alcohol.
Highly recommended.
